  My name is Chet R Biggerstaff. I called your store last week about an ad for a 2002 BMW K1200LTe. I asked about the miles, its service record, and if anything was wrong with the bike. I was told it had 73K+ miles on it and that it had just had its service and that nothing was wrong with it. The sales person went further to say the tires were at 80%, not new but close, and there was nothing wrong, that it was an excellent example of the K1200. I then put down a $200 deposit on it via the phone taking his word for it. The next day I had to arrange a ride to get there as I live in the Tri-Cities WA. Once there we did the paperwork and the sales person was starting to tell me what everything did. I stopped him and said I wanted to learn it on my own as that's part of the fun of a new (used in this case) bike for me. I did ask if there was anything that was not obvious that I needed to know about the bike and the sales person told me you had to hit the alarm button before it would start. I then asked if there was anything else and there was not so I left (I had to be back in town by 3pm to get my daughter from school so I was in a hurry). The following day I went to wash and give the bike a thorough inspection as I didn't have time the previous day. Here is what I found&.
  Tires at 10% not the almost new 80% I was told on the phone
  The brakes are shot
  The exhaust system has a big crack in it
  The bike had been dumped. There is crash damage under the left side drop bumper&.the fairing has been rather badly scratched up including the underside of the left bumper
  
  I was not told about any of this and should have been. The crash damage is very hard if not impossible to see from a standing position which is why I didn't see it. The problem I have being told your store didn't know is the bike had been washed which is how I found the damage. It is beyond belief that your store would take in a bike for consignment and not know everything you could about it just like any other bike on your lot. I complained via email about the tires and brakes but said that it wasn't that big of deal until I found the crash damage and the broken exhaust. Now I am beyond mad. It is very little cost to your company to supply a new set of tires on the house to keep a customer happy when this was plainly your companies fault.”
