  “I purchases a brand new Rogue Jet Coastal 22 with a Yamaha 225, 9.9 kicker and had a hand full of other items added at the time of purchase. I was on vacation in the Coos bay area when I found the boat. I was a bit nervous buying a boat 4 + hours from my home in the Portland area but Scott and the other employees came through when I ran into a problem. They delivered the boat up to my house and the first time I took the boat out the main motor would stall under light load after several minutes or almost instantly under heavy load. I ended up having to use the kicker motor to get back to the dock. After spending a lot of $$$ on a brand new boat I was pretty ticked. I called down to Y Marine and told the service guy what happened and he said it didnt make any sense. He said they did a test run and everything work fine. Scott the owner ended up calling me back minutes after getting off the phone with the service department and offered to send one of his techs up to take a look at the problem then next day so I wouldnt have to drive the boat 4+ hours each way. Turns out the fuel line through the motor housing was being pinched by the battery cables causing the motor to starve for fuel. My experience didnt start out very good but they came through in the end and stood by their product. Mistakes happen and I havent had an issue since then so I would do business with them again.”

  “Ymarina is terrific. Scott Lancaster and staff did a great job helping me to buy a Smokercraft Pro Tracer with 50 hp motor and trailer. They happily wrote me a quote with all the items I wanted at a fair price. They handled my loan application and delivery to my house in Portland, Oregon without a single issue, mistake.
  
  Steven's Marine had no passion about my interest to buy a boat. Eric P., the manager, was very cool and calculating about my interest in their products. Even as I told them I had the financing lined up, Eric was unimpressed. I stopped by their store to look at and sit in boats, but no one cared that I was there. I told Eric about this and he gave some excuse that they don't greet customers at the store because they aren't a bunch of sharks. Oh, so being courteous and appreciate about a customer visit is being pushy. I don't think so Eric. Truth is, Steven's has no customer service passion. It's sales department is as uninspired as its repair shop. I made the mistake of taking my outboard there, paying $775 for repairs that did nothing to improve my Mercury outboard. Stay away from Steven's Marine, they don't care about the customer, only the big sale on big boats. Go to Ymarina, they value their customers, and I value them!!!!!!”
